The sheer gall of Modi to insist that India, a country of its size, doesn't contribute to climate change. I imagine the Biden administration is mum on the matter because they don't want to jeopardize any opportunities to do business there. As usual, human rights takes a backseat to short-term financial/economic goals.

On the contrary… we need far less uniformed activist fervor and much more scientific debate and resolution.
I would say the minorities that fight fringe issues such as climate change have gotten far too much attention….. and to shut them up we have enacted very dangerous policies such as Net Zero.
This puts the policy cart way ahead of the scientific horse, and we end up where we are today with the population in fear due to the unfounded but well communicated climate change emergency hoax with scientists subjugated by the political group think and many of them afraid to step outside the box due to funding or job loss. It remains a struggle by other more courageous scientists trying to get the truth into the political dialogue.
We have climate scientists divided on the level of risk to our futures and a huge waste of wealth in chasing NetZero in mainly the western nations, while most of the emerging nations get on with capitalizing on the advantage in not following a NetZero process other than making future promises.
The result …..a very bad and unprosperous future for us in the west while the alarmists keep defending the position of a climate emergency with no convincing scientific papers that show any proven causation between Green House Gases (GHG) and global temperature change that is near any threshold of concern.
The scientific papers that state dangerous CO2 causation on global temperature use an overstated climate model that keeps being proved wrong or a rigged hockey stick or the political summary from the UN. But there are many scientists that have demonstrated that CO2 is a small bit player in the climate system, and there are many scientific papers that declare a low threshold of concern and many that declare CO2 increase a good thing…
