Good job stay on this and follow the money. So few others are.

I'm glad you pointed out that it's not only Trump denying climate science, and at that, it's not even just congressional Republicans, though they're clearly the biggest culprit. I'm simultaneously dismayed it's a mere 45% of Republican respondents who acknowledge that climate change is worsening wildfires. Get with the program, ladies and gents!

Be aware folks that if you agree with Emily the next thing you need to do is look at your credit card. You may be funding the fossil fuel industry with a Citi, Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America or TD Bank card. Your credit card fees and your savings are funding this shit. Having 150 K in a Chase account is like having a new Chevy SUV in your driveway and idling it 9 hours a day all year. If the banking industry were a nation they would rank 3rd in carbon emissions behind China and the USA. Check out Carbon Bankroll 2.0 by Topofinance. Then get your act together and bank with your local credit union. Or, you can kiss your kids and grandchildren goodbye.

I would appreciate a list of Dems that take significant fossil fuel money. Such a list would guide my donations.

On open secrets, you can go to their “industries” page and look at the top recipients of oil and gas money. I believe you can sort by party as well.

With the excessive heat and wildfires happening right now, the politicians accepting money and the fossil fuel companies giving it really feels like the criminal activity that it should be. They’re being paid to let people die, that’s what’s happening. That’s what’s been happening for years.

I'm not angry about the Canadian wildfires and the smoke. I'm angry about the over half of our government that is in the pockets of those responsible for it.

Canadian wildfires become Republican Smokescreen for their role as climate change cheerleaders. Meanwhile Trump and Netenyahu's Middle East Oil War becomes the cue for Asians to go solar. We live in surreal times, for sure!

Great job connecting the dots! Deflection is their product.
