Some of D.C.'s most popular political newsletters have seen a recent increase in deceptive climate advertising from Big Oil, a HEATED and Earther investigation has found.
So Emily, I didn't think about it in this context, but Enbridge has flooded the radio with adds over the past week thanking all the people who helped them build Line 3. Multiple radio stations, pretty much anytime I am in my hybrid running errands. Seems related, huh?
It's infuriating how much money Big Oil has to throw at its misleading advertising. When our very journalistic resources are poisoned by them, it's hard to have confidence in our ability to fight back. These outlets should be pressured to no longer accept ad money from the fossil fuel industry.
I wonder how many people are swayed by these ads as opposed to infuriated! Put me in the latter camp, as a daily Morning Energy and Generate reader.
