This is a great article, but what about the climate case for working less? There's plenty of research to show we're working more than we should, and if we worked less we'd be burning less carbon.
If working from home is the norm, I'd like to see companies offering stipends for maintaining home offices. (If we don't demand it, they'll just enjoy the cost savings and let us shoulder the cost of space and equipment.) Three of us live in 1000 sq ft -- and for the past three months a bedroom and the living room have been commandeered for work and for emergency remote learning, indefinitely. Pay for our internet, provide our laptops, reimburse furniture, come on!
