Glad that some Republicans in Congress won't reverse course on renewable energy since they understand what an economic boon it is for their district, but that would be a small consolation amid a Trump presidency. Let's hope, despite its best efforts, the Harris campaign manages to win.
People need to understand that Trump doesn't do anything unless it benefits him personally. If it puts money in his pocket to repeal the tax credits or let them expire, he will do so and vice versa if it benefits him to keep them going. With Trump, you have to follow the money. Nothing else matters to him.
Thank you for making it explicit exactly what is at risk in terms of renewable energy and taking action on climate change if the convicted orange liar is elected. The choice is clear. I hope the majority vote for taking more action to build a more sustainable future. Merkx is a good boy!
This is why the EU companies that develop wind and solar projects in the US demand higher returns, resulting in higher prices for us. Completely irrational start/stop/start, whether it's federal incentive legislation, obscure environmental litigation or just a couple of county commissioners facing a Facebook-outraged mob endorsing five mile setbacks.
Anyway, rather than repeat my love for industrial renewables endlessly, I liked this:
And WTF, the guy who built Trump Tower(s), etc., is going around calling solar farms ugly? And bunny-killers? You can search for bunny images at solar farms; in most cases they are fine, unless they start rooting around and shorting some underground wires. Owners don't like that.

Open Letter by Climate Scientists to the Nordic Council of Ministers Reykjavik, October 2024
We, the undersigned, are scientists working in the field of climate research and feel it is
urgent to draw the attention of the Nordic Council of Ministers to the serious risk of a
major ocean circulation change in the Atlantic. A string of scientific studies in the past few
years suggests that this risk has so far been greatly underestimated. Such an ocean
circulation change would have devastating and irreversible impacts especially for Nordic
countries, but also for other parts of the world. ...
