The Legislature removed an effective climate justice advocate who was representing one of the most-polluted districts in the state.
I was hoping you would cover this person's work after I read about him when this whole expelling bullshit happened. So thank you!
Also it was nice to see you interviewed for that Washington Post article, really hope it drives more attention and support to your work, and maybe even changes Twitter policy. Maybe.
What happened in Tennessee hearkened back to the Jim Crow days in the South, and Republicans aren't even trying to hide it anymore.
So, Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton doesn't live in the district he was elected in (25), falsely claims large per diem and mileage reimbursements, and is essentially a FRAUD, while the two elected Justin's, who just happen to be excellent advocates, and Black, are removed from the Legislature for protesting the lack of gun laws after a mass shooting. Something stinks in Tennessee and I appreciate any and all efforts to enable sanitation.
I did not know this about Pearson. Appreciate this piece highlighting his climate justice advocacy.
If they stick with Pollution improvement and stay away from climate change it would be a lot better to defend.
