Always a smart move to diversify how an audience can reach you! As one of the weirdos that loves to read everything and hates listening to things, thank you for also providing the text transcript!
Love this. As the oligarchy tries to determine for us what's important (not climate), it's up to us to do this work. Heated is such a crucial piece of that, and this is great. Excited to see what you all do with it.
HEADLINE: Mega-merger combines two powerhouses: Heated and Nationally known Climate Producer! Stocks* soar for both interests and stockholders** rejoice as the clamor to buy in,** becoming the talk of the trade!
*Social capital, right? The REAL capitalism we can all support!
This is amazing! Best news of the week! Especially love journalists who come from theater. One-time aspiring ballerina here. Not really, best part of this is expanded climate coverage. Sharing now....
Great! I'm a retired scientist trained in the chemical sciences. I understand the reality of climate change, and how dangerous it is to deny or ignore it. The sad truth is that the negative effects of climate change seem to be increasing in intensity. I'm not an expert on climate models, but my reading suggests that there are important aspects of the climate that the models cannot yet address adequately. That is potentially very dangerous. I follow the work of Johan Rockstrom and his group closely since I think his concept of "planetary boundaries" is exceedingly important. I wish you both great success with your new collaboration!
This is so exciting - congratulations! Stoked to have Tracy as part of the Heated team. Almost forgot what it was like to have positive news about climate journalism, what a feeling!
Great idea! Nice to have a live resource to share!
Communicating climate science, economics, policies, and politics is incredibly important. I admire the skill, ability, and scale you both bring to this project.
YAY! I am also "loads of people" and am so excited about this, thanks Emily! As an OG subscriber since 2019 (ever since your Jay Inslee interview), I've found it harder and harder to spend more time on a screen after the long work days, and am stoked that this format will help me get back to regularly absorbing your excellent content. First ep was a great teaser!
Second, I've been trying to line up someone FROM the ACLU to be my guest on "Is Anything Real?" about reality-first leadership and haven't had luck there - but think maybe you'd be a guest for that week's episode that would really resonate with that community. Would you be up for that?

OMG! Fantastic news, Emily! Congratulations! I hope you bring Amy Westervelt on sometime. Her work is brilliant, too.

Retired scientist too. Chemistry, Chem Eng, Green Chem. The situation is dire, we have to respect Nature, and work WITH it, stop extractivism.

I'm a very long-term subscriber, but recognize video is needed to broaden the reach.
You two have such expertise - and a great rapport. I look forward to a lot more of this

Love it, Emily! Silly question and heads up, but I'm participating in Podcasthon 2026 to help raise money for the ACLU.
First, you should check it out: https://podcasthon.org/

Good for you. I'll search you out on YouTube to add with the others. I look forward to more expanded climate journalism.
So happy to see this. Your voice deserves a much broader audience. A great step ahead. Wishing you nothing but the best.
